Zeitgeist-Day (also known as Z-Day) is an event held globally by The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) that acts as a platform for speakers to give presentations and seminars that are in relation to exposing current problems and possible solutions in the current “zeitgeist”, or current climate of society. The event is held by many local TZM groups in various locations globally, while the movement also holds an annual global main event in various locations around the world.
The first Z-Day was held in 2009 as a global trend of TZM branches holding large orientations event about TZM, problems and solutions to global crises in the world. Branches of TZM globally organized almost simultaneously on March 13 th 2009 this event in their local areas, creating a lot of news coverage and exposure for TZM, including from The New York Times. This event has become an annual conference where all branches globally try to organize this event locally in their area, while a major global conference is organized called “Global Z-Day”, that holds a very international presence along with participants from the hosting area. However, Z-Days may not always happen on the same date annually and multiples branches in different cities may hold Z-Day on multiple dates.
